GrandyOats Donations

Saturday, October 15th, 2005

GrandyOats is proud to report that our plan to donate $1.00 for every case sold during the month of September to an organization helping with relief efforts in the Gulf Coast region has been met with great success. September turned out to be our best month in the company history. We sold 2,586 cases of organic granola, trail mix, and roasted nuts. This means that we now have $2,586 which we are proud to be donating to the Farm Aid Disaster Fund. The fund is set up to help Farmers with funds for food and living expenses, legal and financial counseling, and crisis prevention programs. We researched a number of organizations, but decided on Farm Aid because there are a lot of farmers in the region whose livelihoods are severely damaged if not flat out ruined. And the fact of the matter is, without farmers, GrandyOats couldn’t even exist. Without oats, there is no GrandyOats.

GrandyOats on the Bigscreen

Wednesday, October 12th, 2005

We at GrandyOats were feeling like movie stars. Two filming crews came out to film us baking our batches of granola. We had the fine people from Maine Public Network here filming and we also had our local NBC station come out. They spent the whole day with us. We had a great time.

Look out for us on TV this month. We will be on Channel 6 WSCH, Bill Greens "Green Outdoors" segment on the nightly news, October 24th at 6:10. Then later that week on October 27th at 8:30 we will be on Lou McNally’s "Made in Maine" series on Channel 10. It will feature GrandyOats and our friends at the Webb Family Farm. We hope you enjoy it. Don’t worry we are still granolas; you won’t find us in people magazine anytime soon. Although I heard Nat was hoping to get best dressed at this years Oscars.
