BethAnn In Minesota
Friday, December 12th, 2008
I am in MN right now.
The skiing is great and there is pleanty of snow, so I have no complaints.
We get the racing underway on Sunday. It is going to be a full week with
our first 5 races of the year packed into eight days. I am looking
forward to it.
The West Report from BethAnn Chamberlain
Friday, December 5th, 2008
The first stop on the North American Biathlon circuit this season is West Yellowstone. Beautiful sun and big skies surround us as I glance out the window. There is missing piece however…there isn’t any snow!!! We, being my team with Maine Winter Sports Center and I, have been creative, marching up the mountain for an hour and a half to get to good skiing at about 7,600-8,000 feet. It was a great adventure but is not ideal training for us everyday this time of year. So, we are rolling with the punches and are now moving to Minnesota. Mount Itasca is the location of the next NORAM (North American Cup), race and happens to be located just outside of my home town of Grand Rapids. It looks like our race schedule is going to be tight with five races in seven days! I am looking forward to getting the season started though and what better place then my home town.
Keep checking in here for more updates from biathlon trail.
Wishing you all snow filled dreams!
BethAnn Chamberlain,

GrandyOats sponsors Maine Olympian hopefuls. Meet BethAnn and David Chamberlain
Thursday, December 4th, 2008
A quick introduction I believe is in order. My name is BethAnn Chamberlain. I am a biathlete, which involves cross country skiing and rifle marksmanship. I am in pursuit of the 2010 Olympic Games, along with my husband David, who competes in cross country skiing. We live in Northern Maine and race for the non-profit Maine Winter Sports Center.
We are proud to be Grandy Oats Granola fueled athletes. As we pack our favorite trail mix and granola in our bags and travel the country and the world as Nordic athletes, David and I will be reporting back here to give you the low down on our progress and racing adventures.
Look for more updates as the year progresses......
