Trail update from Biathlon North Amercian Championship
Monday, March 30th, 2009

Here I am pushing as hard as I can down the trail at U.S. Nationals in Fort Kent, ME two weeks ago
Greetings from Val Cartier, QU, home of the 2009 North American Biathlon Championships. I officially wrapped up my season here today with a mix, meaning both male and female, relay. The week of races began on Thursday with an Individual competition. This is the longest of all the different biathlon race formats, men racing 20km and women 15km. We shoot four times, alternating between prone and standing and have one minute penalties for every missed shot added on to our ski time. Because of the large penalty this race defiantly favors those that shoot better.
I am happy report I had a 5th place finish in the Individual on Thursday, missing one of my five shots in each stage. This also helped me clinch the overall North American cup series for the year, a goal I set out for myself way back in December.
While I am packing up my bags and heading back to Maine, David is getting ready for his final race of the season also, the 50km classic race at U.S. Nationals in Fairbanks, AK. Cross your fingers all goes well. I will be sure to update again as soon as the results are in!

Sheila at Greenwise Tampa Fl
On last trip to the South Rich stopped at many of our favorite stores to say hello and to do product samplings. The newest addition to the long list of Grandy customers are the Greenwise stores in Florida. There are currently 3 locations and we are selling to all of them. Sheila has been helping promote the products in the Florida region and you can see her here next to a great display. Thanks again Sheila.
