Beautiful day to bake at GrandyOats
GrandyOats was founded in 1979. Believe it or not little has changed about our products in terms of the fresh baked quality. In fact we are 100% Certified Organic now so we feel like our products are the best they have ever been. Here is a great picture of our 100 year old renovated barn. An excellent place to make a wholesome product.

We have been partnering with Stonyfield Farm for a few years now. Delicious and creamy Greek yogurt with our fresh from the oven Granola. Need I say more.
One of the latest endeavors is here at the Whole Foods Wellness Festival in support of the Aids Action Committee. This is the second year we have been involved and helped fuel the people that are running and walking to support this great cause. Go to www.AAC.ORG to find out more.

Please help us welcome Jay McDonald to GrandyOats. He is an outdoors enthusiast and in his spare time enjoys kayaking hiking and is a professional hacky sacker. Thanks Jay for bringing the good energy to the team.

The training has begun

June first and I already have a good six weeks of solid training in. It\'s a great start to a new season.
I spend about ten days in the great North of Minnesota, my old stomping grounds. It was great to get back to some of my favorite running trails through the city of Duluth and get out in my kayak on a few of the many beautiful lakes in the Northern portion of the state. Duluth upheld its reputation of having its own personal air conditioning unit throughout entire city, all thanks to Lake Superior. While it was 39 degrees out and drizzling it was a scorching hot 92 degrees in Minneapolis/St. Paul, only a two and a half hour drive away.
Now back in the great North of Maine, I am training full time, splitting my time between my our home in Caribou and Fort Kent. I feel very lucky to have two world class Nordic and biathlon venues to choose from all within 60 miles of one another. Half of the week I will be in Fort Kent taking advantage of being closer to my coach and training with a good group of girls. The other half of the week I will enjoy the wonderful company of my husband and train from our house in Caribou.
David will be coming home from a week of skiing in Bend, Oregon and a week of skiing Steamboat, CO. Check in again soon to hear all about his first adventures on snow in the new 2009/10 season!
From one Grandy Oats lover to another, wishing you all a summer full of wonderful adventures,
-BethAnn Chamberlain
