mmm granola!
Recently, a customer had a visit from an unexpected breakfast guest! Over the summer, a window was left open and a bear was able to break in and feast on 10 lbs of granola that was ready for the morning. Although we\'d like to pride ourselves on appealing to a pontentially discerning wildlife pallet, it should be noted that he consumed a fair amount of Cinnamon Toast Crunch as well!
Update from the Nordic family

David here, sending in a quick update from home. BethAnn and I just got back from europe, where we spent a few weeks skiing on a glacier in Italy. The trip was a perfect start to our fall, we skied hard every morning on the glacier at 10,000 feet. In tribute to being only a few miles from the Swiss border we brought along with us a big bag of muesli. I must say that the Grandy Oats Swiss style muesli outshined the granola we were served in Italy every morning. I returned to Maine early last week, while BethAnn stayed for an extra week to do some rollerski races with the German National team in Altenberg Germany.
Right now it is training as usual for the next few weeks. To give you an idea of the kind of training that an Olympic hopeful has to put himself through, today I rollerskied for 2.5 hours in the morning, and did a 30 mile bike ride in the afternoon. When I returned home from riding this afternoon, I found a new shipment of Grandy Oats on my doorstep. It did not take me long to rip into a big bowl of Chocolate Peanut Crisp (my favorite kind). It really is the perfect recovery food after a long day of training.
Next week I am headed for Lake Placid, NY for a training camp. BethAnn leaves for Utah the week after that. That is the scoop from us, Ciao!
